Using the Chinese technique, wrinkling, to paint the rock; Hsu creates a scenery of mountain and water with a large lotus on the bottom right, which is are occurring element of many Chinese paintings. There is a poetic feeling to the painting with the three girls dancing on the lotus and the different shadows of flowers filling up the painting; it feels as though one is walking through a fantasy world in a dream. This romantic and poetic work is created by the combination of Chinese and Western Style paintings.
