My memories of passing by the town of Tamsui after returning from a hiking trip 60years ago left a beautiful impression in my mind. The Tamsui Church, WhiteBuilding, and Guan Ying Mountain are all still the same. However, the surrounding landscape of Tamsui is recreated from my memories of the small quaint old houses, red oxcarts, black buffaloes, a young girl I remember from the visit, a junk ship under the sunset’s afterglow, a proud rooster walking across the middle of the roads, etc.. All of these sights disappeared from the Tamsui we now know. Cubism is used to combine all the beautiful and distant memories I have of Tamsui.
