As an 80 year old painter, Hsu knew that there wasn’t much time left. Hsu dedicated the rest of his life to art. Hence, there was a skeleton behind hisself-portrait, with lots of fairies surrounding him. Using partial curved cubism, appreciation towards life is expressed through this technique.
